a person driving at 56 km/h reaches office 5 min early she reaches 2.5 min late if driving at 48 km/ hr. what is the distance ( in km) that she is covering?​

she travelled at speed 56km/h,which is 56/60km/min. so we know that speed= distance/time so distance = speed×time. here time is that she reach the office before 5min i.e, let the original time be x and now the time will be x-5 as she reach early...

2nd case: here she travelled at 48/60km/mhshe was late about 2.5 min. so let the time be x+2.5 as she took 2.5min more time to reach the same spot.

now from 1st and 2nd case both the distances are same so let

56/60(x-5)=48/60(x-2.5) so we will get actual time about 50km/min now put this 50 either in 1st or 2nd as distance= 56/60×(50-5)

then the actual distance will be =41.99km.....
