A person failed in theory exam but with viva marks taken together in the same subject he passed then will he have to give retest or will be declared passed ?

He will be given retest.He need to pass the retest pass his grade.

No, it is compulsory to pass in both the theory, and practicals / viva  individually as per the CBSE Guidelines.

In pre boards, may be retest have to held.
It is based on school. Whether they pass the student or fail after combining both marks.
But in boards it is must.
