profit of 8 items = 2*8=16  ,  loss on 5 items of y = 5*3 =15 and 16 -15 = 1.i.e he gets profit of rs 1 as 16 is more than 15

The man gets profit of Rs. 1

Given,

A person gains Rs. 2 on product X and

loss RS. 3 on product y.

he sells 8 items of x and 5 items of y

To Find,

Find what is his Profit or loss

Solution,

According to the question, a person gains Rs. 2 on product X.

and besides that he loses Rs. 3 on product y.

Profit is an income that is given to the owner throughout a successful market production process. Profit is a metric of profitability.

A loss is an excess of expenses over revenues, either for a single business transaction or the total of all transactions for an accounting period.

after that, he sells 8 items of x.

so, profit on 8 items is = 2×8 = 16

and, also he sells 5 items of y

so, loss on 5 items is = 5×3 = 15

[ as, we all know that 16 is greater than 15, 16>15]

so, the man is doing profit.

The total amount of his profit is 16-15 = 1

Hence, The man gets profit of Rs. 1
