A person gave 20% of his time income to his elder son, 30% of the remaining to the younger son and 10% of the balance, he donated to a trust. He is left with RS. 10080. His income was?​

Thus Balance = b1 = x - 0.2x = 0.8x

Money given to younger son = s2 = 0.3b1 = 0.3 * 0.8x = 0.24x

Money donated to trust = 0.1b2 = 0.1 * 0.56x = 0.056x

Thus Balance = b3 = 0.56x - 0.056x = 0.504x = 10080

Thus 0.504 x = 10080

Thus x = 10080÷0.504

Thus x = 20,000 = Income
