Answer:
64 min
Explanation:
Distance will be same in all cases.
Let the original speed be 'a'.
In normal days:
= > speed = distance/time
= > a = distance/time
= > time = distance/a
When he decreased by 20%:
= > a - 20% a = distance/time(new)
= > 0.8a = distance/time
= > time = distance/0.8a
According to question:
= > distance/0.8a - distance/a = 16 min
= > (distance/a){1/0.8 - 1/1} = 16 min
= > (time)(1 - 0.8)/0.8 = 16 min
= > time(0.2/0.8) = 16 min
= > time = (16*0.8/0.2) = 64 min
Original time is 64 min
