The person may have diarrhea because the gallbladder stores the bile produced from the liver. Now as he/she has gallstones, the best decision is to remove the gallbladder. But if he/she removes the gallbladder the bile produced from the liver will not be stored. So the most common side effect of the removal is diarrhea. He/She has to refrain from eating fatty foods and fast foods, because the digestive system cannot break down the fat which is being produced. Ex. of fatty foods: Fast food, and meat with excessive fat (finishing pigs and etc)
