Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one rupee, 50 paisa and 25 paisa coins are x, y, z;

As per the condition:

1x + 0.5y + 0.25z = 230: equation A

x : y = 2.5 : 3; {3x = 2.5y} or x = 2.5y/3

y : z = 3 : 4; [4y = 3z] or z = 4y/3;

Putting the value of x and z into equation A

2.5y/3 + 0.5y + 0.25*4y/3 = 230;

(2.5y + 0.5*3y+ y) / 3 = 230;

y (2.5 + 1.5 + 1) = 230*3;

y (5) = 690;

y = 138; (50 Paisa coins)

putting this value in x = 2.5y/3

x = 2.5 * 138/3 = 115 (One rupee coin)

Option B is right

Answer:

A person has a total of Rs. 230 one rupee, 50 paisa & 25 paisa coins. The value of three types of coins the person had were in the ratio 2.5 : 3 : 4 respectively. Then one – rupee coins the person has = 115

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say one  ruppe coin  =  5X

50 Paise Coins = 6X

25 Paise Coins = 8X

Value of One rupee coins = 5X  Rs

Value of 50 paise Coins = 6X * 0.5 = 3X  Rs

Value of 25 Paise Coins = 8X * 0.25 = 2X  Rs

Total Value = 5X + 3X + 2X = 10X Rs

10X = 230

=> X = 23

One Ruppe coins = 5 * 23 = 115

Option B is correct
