Given : A person has four boxes of different integral but unknown weights. The person weighted the boxes in triplets. He obtained the weights in kgs as 150, 170, 180, 190.
To find : How much would the heaviest box weigh
Solution:
Let say 4 Weights are
A , B , C & D
A + B + C = 150
A + B + D = 170
A + C + D = 180
B + C + D = 190
Adding all 3 (A + B + C + D) = 690
=> A + B + C + D = 230
230 - 150 = 80 kg ( heaviest box)
Boxes are 40 , 50 , 60 & 80 kg
heaviest box weigh 80 kg
