A person has money to buy 28 fountain pen of the same work 650 each. how many such pens will he do able to buy if each of it cost 87 more?

Given that
cost of one fountain pen = 650
no of pen man can buy = 28
hence total amount of money he have got
= 28 × 650
= 18200
Now if price is increased by 87 more
then cost of each pen
= 650+87
= 737
now let the number of pen be 'x' he can buy now
then
737x ≤ 18200
or X ≤ 18200/737
=> X ≤ 24.7
or he can buy 24 pen in total
