A person has only two Rupee and five rupees find the sum of the coin is 36 and total value of the coin is 84 find the number of 5 rupee coin

Let the Number of Rs. 5 Coin be n and, Number of Rs. 2 Coin (Total - n) = (36 - n)

Let's Head to the Question Now :

⇒ Rs.(5 + 2) Coin Value = Rs. 84

⇒ (No. × Value) + (No. × Value) = Rs. 84

⇒ (n × Rs. 5) + [(36 – n) × Rs. 2] = Rs. 84

⇒ 5n + 72 – 2n = 84

⇒ 5n – 2n = 84 – 72

⇒ 3n = 12

  • Dividing both term by 3

n = 4

•Given➾ • Total coins=36

• Total value= 84 Rs

• Variety of coins= Rs 2 & Rs 5

Let, the number of coins of 2 Rs coins is =X pcs

∴ No. of 5 Rs coins is =(36-X) pcs

➾From the condition

Value of coins=84 Rs

\therefore X\times 2+(36-X)\times5=84

\sf\longrightarrow 2X+36\times5-5X=84

\sf\longrightarrow 3X=180-84

\sf\longrightarrow X=\frac{\cancel{96}}{\cancel3}

\sf\longrightarrow \bosed{\red{X=32}}

\therefore No. of 2 Rs coins=32 pcs.

AND,

\therefore No. of 5 Rs coins=(36-32)= 4 pcs.
