Step-by-step explanation:

let the currency notes are x, y and z with respect to their values of $500, $100 and $50.

drafting the equations based on given statements.

3x = 4y = 5z ; eq. 1

500x + 100y + 50z = 86000; eq. 2

Now finding the value of y and z from the equation 1. we get

y = 3x/4 and z = 3x/5;

Now putting the values of y and z in equation 2;

500x + 100(3x/4) + 50(3x/5) = 86000;

500x + 75x + 30x = 86000;

605x = 8600;

Now calculate the x and y and z . which are the number of note w.r.t. demonetization
