% of rotten mangoes = 13%
% he gave to some children= 75%
total % of mangoes left = 100% - 75%+13%
= 100%-88%= 12%
let d total no.of mangoes be x
12% of x = 261 (given)
12/100×x= 261
12×x=261× 100
x= 261× 100/12
x= 26100/12
x = 2175

thus no.of total mangoes he had = 2175

hope it helps

let the mangoes he had before be' x '

rotten mangoes = 13 % of x = 0.13x

remaining mangoes = x - 0.13x = 0.87x

since, he gave 75% of the remaining mangoes to some children.

Find the mangoes:
-------------------------

mangoes given to children :

= 75 % of 0.87x

= 0.75 × 0.87x = 0.6525x

mangoes left with him

= 0.87x - 0.6525x = 0.2175x

since, mangoes left = 261

0.2175x = 261

= 2175x ÷ 10000= 261

2175x = 2610000

x = 1200 mangoes

therefore, he had 1200 mangoes at the first.

Answer : 1200
