A person hears an echo from a top of tower ,2.2 seconds after the sound is produced . how far away is the tower from the person ?speed of the sound in air is 332 m/sec.

Data Given,
Total time= 2.2 sec
Speed in air = 332 m/s
Total Distance = Speed x Time
                        = 332 x 2.2
                        = 730.4 m
Acc to question we need to find the distance of tower from person.
= total distance / 2
= 730.4/2
= 365.2 m

Total time taken by sound=2.2 s

Speed of sound in air=332 m/s

Total distance travelled by sound=Speed x time=332 x 2.2=730.4 m

Now, the distance of tower from the person=Total distance travelled/ 2

=730.4/2

=365.2 m
