Mass of the block = 2 kg

Weight of the object = mg = 2 × 10 = 20 N

Each hand needs to provide 10 N of friction for supporting the block from falling.

Normal force due to each hand (N) = 50 N

f = μN

μ = \frac{f}{N}

μ = \frac{10}{50}

μ = 0.2

Hence, the coefficient of friction between the hand and block is (μ) = 0.2

Hence, option (a) is correct.

teja3983: tnx bro
teja3983: bro how do you calculate f required
ArnimZola: Friction will be the only force to support weight. Since, each hand will provide friction. Hence, it will be 20N/2 = 10 N
