Answer:

is 12.5%

Step-by-step explanation:

P = 18600, Time = = 7/2 years

According to question

SI = Prt/100

[{18600 × x × (7/2)}/100] + [{2 × 18600 × (x + 2) × (7/2)}/100] = 23110.50

{186 × x × (7/2)} + {186 × (x + 2) × 7} = 23110.50

651x + 1302x + 2604 = 23110.50

1953x = 23110.50 – 2604

x = 20506.5/1953

x = 10.5%

Then the rate of interest on the second investment = x + 2 = 10.5 + 2 = 12.5%
