The no of shares in  person account will now be 275.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

rs 45000 has been invested by a person in buying shares of company with market price rs 180 and no brokerage.

company gives 1 bonus share on  for every 10 shares.

To Find:

The no of shares in person account .

Formula Use:

Number of shares = Total investment/ The market value of one share   -------- formula no.01

Solution:

As given- rs. 45000 has been invested by a person in buying shares of company with market price rs 180 and no brokerage.

Total investment=rs. 45000

The market value of one share =rs. 180

Applying formula no.01.

Number of shares = Total investment/ The market value of one share

                           = 45000/180  = 250

As given- company gives 1 bonus share on  for every 10 shares.

Therefore on 250 shares the number of bonus shares = 250/10 =25

Hence total numbers of shares = 250+25 = 275

Thus, the no of shares in person account will be 275.
