Explanation:

Given:-

A person is jogging around a circular park of Radius 200 m with the speed of 5 m/s.

To find:-

Calculate the time to complete one revolution to the park and the frequency.?

Solution:-

Given that

The radius of the circular park = 200 m

r = 200 m

Distance covered by the man in one round

=> Circumference of a circle

=> 2πr units

On taking π=3.14

=> 2×3.14×200 m

=> 1256.00 m

Distance covered by one revolution by the man

= 1256 m

Speed of the man = 5 m/s

We know that

Distance = Speed × Time

=> Time = Distance / Speed

=> Time = 1256/5 sec

=> Time = 251 1/5 sec or 251.2 sec

The time taken for one complete revolution by the man is 251 1/5 sec or 251.2 sec

We know that

Frequency of the one revolution

= 1/ Time taken for one revolution

= 1/t

=>1/251.2 revolutions/sec

=> 1/(1256/5) revolutions/sec

=>5/1256 revolutions/sec

=> 0.00389...revolutions/sec

=> 0.004 revolutions/sec (approximately)

Answer:-

The time taken for one complete revolution by the man is 251 1/5 sec or 251.2 sec

Frequency= 0.004 revolutions/sec (approximately)

Used formulae:-

  • Circumference of a circle = 2πr units
  • r = radius
  • π=22/7=3.14
  • Distance = Speed × Time
  • Frequency= 1/ Time
