A person is listening to a tone of 500Hz ditting at a distance of 450Hz from the source of sound .What is the time interval b/w two succesive compressions from the source of sound

t=1/f
=1/500 s
=0. 002 s

The time interval between successive compressions is equal to the time period of the wave. And this time period is the reciprocal of frequency of the wave.
It is given by:
