The speed of the person is 50 m/s

Explanation:

Let the speed of the person is v m/s

Speed of the bullets = 300 m/s

In 1 second 5 bullets hit the target

Therefore, the bullets are fired at every 1/5 = 0.2 seconds

6 bullets will be fired in 6\times 0.2=1.2 seconds

As the target is receiving 6 bullets in 1 second

In 1 second the target will receive the 5 bullets and the 6th bullet is fired 0.2 seconds later

Thus if the man has moved in 0.2 seconds such that the distance between the target and the man is reduced so as to receive the bullet in 1 second then

The bullet should have fired from the distance of = 300 × 0.2 = 60 m

This distance, the man should have covered in 1.2 seconds

Thus, the velocity of the man

v=\frac{60}{1.2} m/s

\implies v=50 m/s

Hope this answer is helpful.
