Correct Question:-

A person is running along a circular track of area

625π sqm with a constant speed. Find the distance travelled and displacement in 30 s and 15 s, if he has to complete the race in 30 s.

Given:-

Area of the circular track = 625π sqm

To find:-

The distance travelled and displacement in 30 s and 15 s, if he has to complete the race in 30 s.

Solution:-

Area = πr^2{}

\Longrightarrow r^2{} = 625

\Longrightarrow r =  \sqrt{625}  = 25 \: m

In 30 s, the distance travelled by him = circumference of the circle = 2πr(25) m

 = 50\pi \: m

= 157. 14 m.

Since, the starting and ending points are same the displacement will be 0.

Now, the distance in 15 s

s = distance in 30 s ÷ 2

= 157. 14/2

= 78.57 m

The displacement in 15 s

s = diameter of circular ground

= 2r = 2 × 25 = 50 m.

Thus, the distance travelled is 25 m.

Displacement in 30 s = 157.14 m

Displacement in 15 s = 78. 57 m
