SOLUTION :

Principal (P) = Rs 6000         (given)

Rate of Interest (R) = 8% per annum          (given)

Time (T) = 1 year         (given)

To be found :-

The Simple Interest(S.I) and the Amount(A)

we know that,

S.I = \frac{P \times R \times T }{100}

S.I = \frac{6000 \times 8 \times 1 }{100}

S.I = 480

∴ Simple Interest (S.I) = Rs 480

Now,

Amount(A) = Principal(P) + Simple Interest (S.I)

Amount(A) = Rs 6000 + Rs 480

Amount(A) = Rs 6480

Hence,

Simple Interest (S.I) = Rs 480

Amount(A) = Rs 6480
