\huge\underline\bold {Answer:}

Since it was a Friday on 1sf May of the year, there are 5 Sundays in that month, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.

Therefore number of telephone calls on Sundays

= 7 × 5

= 35

Therefore remaining number of telephone calls

= 165 – 35

= 130

Hence the average of the telephone calls per day on the rest days of the month is 130/26

= 5.
