Given :

▪ A person moves 30m in north, 24m in east and 30√2m in south-west.

To Find :

▪ Displacement of the person from the initial position.

Concept :

✏ Displacwment is defined as the shortest distance b/w initial and final position of entire journey.

✏ It is a vector quantity.

✏ It can be positive, negative and zero.

Calculation :

☞ Displacement (OC) = CD - OD

☞ Displacement (OC) = 30 - 24

Displacement (OC) = 6m (west)
