displacement = u can find using Pythagoras theorem .....

The total distance covered by the person is 8.5 km and the displacement covered by the person is 6.8 km(approx)

according to pythagoras theorem,

x^2=6.5^2+2^2

x^2=42.25+4

x^2=46.25

x=6.8
