Here, Side of the given square field = 10m

so, perimeter of a square = 4*side = 10 m * 4 = 40 m

Person takes 20 s to move along the boundary.

Displacement after 2 minutes 20 s = 2 * 60 s + 20 s = 140 seconds

since in 20 s person moves 40 m

Therefore, in 1s the distance covered by person = 40 / 20 m = 2 m

Therefore, in 140s distance covered by farmer = 2 * 140 m = 280 m.

Now, number of rotation to cover 280 along the boundary= Total Distance / Perimeter

= 280 m / 40 m = 7 round

Thus, after 7 round person will be at initial position.

Displacement is defined as the shortest distance .

And also It is defined as difference between final position and initial position.

He person comes to initial position after completion of 7 rounds.

i.e., at A (Find attachment)

So the displacement is 0.
