Distance will be quarter of circumference of a circle. So it is (2*pi*r)/4 which equals (pi*r)/2.
Displacement is the shortest distance. Connecting center and two arc points, it will form a Right angled triangle with radius on two sides and displacement on third side.
To Find hypotenuse (Displacement) = Sq.root ( r^2 + r^2)
That will give you sqrt(2)*r or approximately 1.414 * r...
