a person moves in north direction-50m,then towards east 40m and finally moves in south direction-20m.calculate it's displacement and distance.

Hii there,
Distance is the total path covered
Here,distance=50+40+20
=110 m
For displacement you can draw a figure and find it by using pythagoras theorem as in above photo.
