A person moves in the field of square shape of side 10cm . Calculate distance and displacement when- 1.person covers half lenghtof ground.2.person covers complete rotation ​

Answer:

I) distance=20cm, displacement=10√2cm

ii)distance=40cm, displacement=0cm

Explanation:

1)the person goes half of the square field of side 10cm

so the perimeter of square field =1/2*4*side

=1/2*4*10=20cm

displacement

According to Pythagoras theorem

displacement=(10)

  {x}^{2} = {10}^{2}  +  {10}^{2}  \\ x =   \sqrt{200}  \\ x = 10 \sqrt{2}

the person covers complete round of the square field =4*10=40cm

the displacement is 0cm when comes back to the initial position
