height of man = 1.8 m
shadow of man = 2.7m
hence if we draw an image of the question,we will get
tan x = 2.7/1.8 .....eq1
and also tan x for height and shadow of pole will be same....
hence, let 'y' be shadow of pole,
tan x = y/30 .....eq2
from eq1 and eq2 we get,
2.7/1.8 = y/30
by cross multiplication,
2.7 * 30/1.8 = y
y= 27×30/18
y= 45
hence shadow of pole will be 45 m in length....
