A person of mass 40kg stands on a weighing scales on a lift. If the lift is ascending upwards with an uniform accelaratin of 5 mper sec square what should be the reading of weighing scale

reading = (mass x g(effective))/g

if lift is ascending upwards than pseudo force will be downwards

and than g(effective)=g+5=15 m/sec^2

than reading = (40 x 15)/10 =60 kg
