A person paid rs17,000. For a motor car after a single discount of 15%., if he is given two successive discounts of 5%,and 10% then how much he would pay?

Let ‘x’ be the marked price

Single discount = 15%

=> 100 – 15 = 85

85% of x = 17000

x = 2000

SP = 20000 * 95/100 * 90/100

    = 180 * 95

    = 17100.
