see...in 400 ml of alcoholic solution, percent of alcohol is 15%
so, volume of alcohol= 15% of 400 ml
                                  =60 ml
now, 15% is 60 ml, so 1% = 60/15= 4 ml
so , 32 % = 32×4 = 128 ml
volume added= 128 - 60 = 68 ml

hope this  explaination makes u understand :)

kakkar6644: But the answer in my book is 100ml
qais: i have to edit the answer
qais: how to edit??
qais: see...in 400 ml of alcoholic solution, percent of alcohol is 15%
so, volume of alcohol= 15% of 400 ml
                                  =60 ml
qais: now suppose x ml is mixed then 32% of (400+x)= 60 +x , on solving u will get 100 ml
kakkar6644: ओके
