After 4 years,

Mother's age = a + 10

His age = b + 10

Now, b + 10 = 4/11 ( a + 10 )

We know the value of b, so,

• 2/9 a + 10 = 4/11 a + 40/11

• 2a + 90 / 9 = 4a + 40 / 11

• 11 ( 2a + 90 ) = 9 ( 4a + 40 )

• 22a + 990 = 36a + 360

• 22a - 36a = 360 - 990

• -14a = -630

• a = 45 years.

After 15 years, she will be,

• a + 15 = 45+15 = 60 years.
