solution: Cost Price= ₹ 700 , Other expenditure: ₹ 170 Total(C.P.) = ₹ 700+170+30

= ₹ 900

Selling price: ₹ 1080

Means: He sold his chair as more than he purchase.

Gain : S.P. - C.P.

= 1080 - 900

= 180

Gain% = ( gain/C.P.)× 100

= 180/900 × 100

= 20

Ans: Gain% = 20%
