circumference of track = 2πr
= 2 × 22/7 × 7 = 44m
displacement = 44÷2 = 22
distance traveled = 44×5.5 = 242m

Solution :-

radius of the circular track = 7 m

Circumference of the circular track = 2πr

⇒ 2*22/7*7

⇒ 44 m

As the person has finished 5 and a half rounds on the circular track, so total distance travelled by him will be = 44*5.5

= 242 m
Total distance travelled is 242 m

Displacement is defined to be the change in position of an object. The person did not complete the last round and he was at the half of the circular track.

So, displacement will be equal to the half of the circumference of one round.

Displacement = 44/2

= 22 m
