salary increase=8100

salary before increase=7200

rupees increased=900

so  increase %=900/7200 of 100

90000/7200

= 12.5% answer

A person's salary increases from 7,200 to 8,100. What is the percentage increase in his salary?

\bf{\blue{\underbrace{\underline{ANSWER}}}}

\implies \bf{Original\:salary}\:=\:₹7200 \\ \\ \implies \bf{After\: increasing}\:=\:₹8100

 \therefore percentage\:of\: increased\: salary

 \implies \frac{8100\:-\:7200}{7200} \times 100 \% \\ \\ \implies \frac{900}{7200} \times 100 \% \\ \\ \implies \frac{9}{72} \times 100 \% \\ \\ \implies \frac{900}{72} \\ \\ \implies 12.5 \%
