Let the CP of 1st article be x. Therefore, CP of 2nd article = 46-x. Now, profit of 1st article = x/10. and, profit of 2nd article = 20(46-x)/10 = 46-x/5. So, SP of 1st article = x+x/10 = 11x/10. And, SP of 2nd article = 46-x + 46-x/5 = 6(46-x)/5. Therefore, SP of both articles= 11x/10 + 6(46-x)/5 = 552-x/10. If he sold the article of 15% profit ----- total SP = x+15x/100+46-x+15/100 (46-x) = 529/10. Now, According to the question---- 552-x/10=529/10 => x= 552-529 = 23. Therefore, SP of each article = 11/10×23 & 6/5 (46-23) . ANS.) Rs 25.3 & Rs. 27.6.
