Answer:

A person sitting in satellite feels weightless because the radius and mass of the satellite is such that the gravitation forces due to satellite negligible.

But he feels weight on moon because standing on the surface he falls gravitational force due to the large size and mass of moon. Also the large radius of moon unbalance the centripetal and centrifugal

  • The weightlessness in the satellite experienced by the person is due to the radius of the satellite.
  • Also, the mass and the satellite are designed so that their gravitational force is negligible.
  • In comparison, the moon has a larger radius and mass.
  • It helps in overcoming the centripetal as well as the centrifugal forces.
  • The person standing on the moon is under the influence of its gravitation force.
