Answer:

200 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of the train be  x

We are given that A person standing on a platform see that a train crosses the platform 160 m long in 54 sec

So, total length = Length of train + Length of platform = x+160

Time = 54 sec

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

Speed = \frac{x+160}{54}  --1

Now we are given that a train crosses himself in 30 sec.

So,Distance =x

Time = 30 sec

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

Speed = \frac{x}{30}  ---2

Equating 1 and 2

 \frac{x}{30}= \frac{x+160}{54}

 54x=30x+4800

24x=4800

x=\frac{4800}{24}

x=200

Hence the length of the train is 200 m
