a person standing on one side of the road ,observes that the angle subtended by the top of a tree on opposite side is 60 degree when he treats 20 metre from the road he find the angle to be 13 degree 30 degree find the height of the tree and the width of the road


( use√3 = 1.732 and round the answer up to 2 decimal places​

and width of road =x

tan 60°=y/x

 \sqrt{3}  =  \frac{y}{x}

 \sqrt{3} x = y

in 2nd case,

tan 30°=y/x+20

 \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }  =  \frac{y}{x + 20}

 \sqrt{3}y = x + 20

y =  \sqrt{3}x

3x=x+20

2x=20

x=10

width of road =10m

y=10×1.732

y=17.32m

height of tree =17. 32m
