A person stuck in Antarctica in ship wreck. He doesn't have drinking water available. He finds an ethylene cylinder containing 4.2g of ethylene. He decides to burn this ethylene to melt 1kg of ice at -10°C. When a mole of ethylene is combused, it releases 340kcal of energy. Assuming that no heat is lost to environment, amount of water available to drinking is
a) 1 Ltr
b) 575mL
c) 900mL
d) Not sufficient to melt the ice

Hint: CH2=CH2 + 3O2—> 2CO2 + 2H2O + 340kcal
