ANSWER

In HIV infection, the virus reaches the immune system and damages its function. As the immune system weakens, the body will not be able to fight with even small infections like cold and this may lead to death very soon.

An AIDS(Accuired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) patient is not able to fight with even a small infection, because while suffering from AIDS the immune system of the patient becomes week, hence her/his immunity is weak, so the body is not able to fight with that infection and the disease enters the body easily.

Hope it helps!!

Thank you ✌️
