Explanation:

u = -25 cm

v = -12.5cm

f = ?

using lens formula

1/f = 1/v -1/u

1/f = 1/(-12.5) - 1/(-25)

1/f = 1×10/(-12.5)×10 - 1/(-25)

1/f = 10/(-125) - 1/(-25)

1/f = -2/25 + 1/25

1/f = (-2+1)/25

1/f = -1/25

f = -25cm

focal length is negative it means concave lens with focal length 25 cm
