A person takes concentrated solution of salt. After sometimes,he starts vomiting. What is the phenomenon responsible for such situation ? Explian.

The use of salt solution containing excess of salt to cause vomiting has been practice since very long time .Salt has some retention property . When a solution containing excess salt is taken , then due to osmosis water will move into intestine , putting pressure on intestine wall .This also cause nausea . The intestine wall is not able to tolerate this strain hence this excess water retention cause vomiting .
Thus we can say that the phenomenon responsible for vomiting after taking concentrated salt solution is osmosis
