Now when the ball reaches to its maximum height its final velocity becomes zero.

Also g =9.8 m/s^2

Applying the equation v^2=u^2-2as

where a=g and s=h

Therefore

=> 0=(15)^2-2(9.8)h

=> 225=19.6 h

=> h= 225/19.6

=>h= 11.4 m (Ans)
