Distance covered in first part is 285km
therefore distance covered in the remaining journey is 285*2(as it is half) which is equal to 570km
Time taken to cover half distance is 6hrs
therefore time taken to cover full distance is 6*2 =12hrs
speed by train is 40km/h
Time needed to cover 570km is 12hr
therefore in 1 hr the distance covered is 570 * 12 =6220
therefore distance is 6220km
