A person travels 3/5th of the distance from
Kolkata to Allahabad at a speed of 6a and the
remaining distance at a speed of 4b. If he goes
back from Allahabad to Kolkata at a speed of
10c in the same time. Find the relation between
a, b and c.
1/a - 1/b = 1/c
1/a + 1/b = 1/C
1/C + 1/b = 1/2
1/€ + 1/a = 1/5

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let total distance be X

Distance 3/5th travel at a speed 6a

Time = distance/speed

T1 = 3/5ofx divided by 6a

T1 = X/10a

Remaining distance= 2/5 of X speed=4b

T2 = 2/5of X divided by 4b

T2 = X/10b

Now allabad to Kolkata

Distance=X and time = 10c

T3 = X/10c

Given than T1+T2= T3

X/10a + X/10b = X/10c

X/10 common and cancel out

Now the result is

1/a + 1/b = 1/c
