Given :

➳ Distance travelled = 72km

➳ Time interval = 4h

To Find :

We have to find speed of person in m/s unit.

SoluTioN :

➠ Speed is defined as the ratio of distance travelled to the time taken.

➠ It is a scalar quantity having only magnitude.

➠ SI unit : m/s

Let's calculate

⇒ v = distance/time

⇒ v = 72/4

v = 18km/h

ConversioN :

➝ 1km/h = 5/18m/s

➝ 18km/h = 18 × 5/18 = 5m/s

Speed of person = 5 m/s

Given :-

  • Distance Traveled = 72 km/h

  • Time taken = 4 hours.

To Find :-

  • Speed in metres and seconds.

Solution :-

Distance = Speed/Time.

From this relation, We can say :-

Speed = Distance × Time.

➝ Speed = 72/4

➝ Speed = 18km/h.

Now, Converting in m/s

18km/h = 5m/s.

Hence, The Speed Of The Person is 5m/s.
