The person first goes to east 5mtrs then goes to north 4mtrs and then goes west 2mtrs so he totally go to the north (5-2)=3mtrs

Due to prithagoras law=√L square + √ H square

= √4mtrs square + √9mtrs square

= √16mtrs+√9mtrs

=√25mtrs

=5 meters ...

So the total displacement is 5 meters...
