A person travels by an elevator from ground floor to a height of 450 m and then back to the ground floor. If it takes 1 minute to go up and 1 minute to come down, calculate the average speed.​

Average speed is equal to the ratio of distance travelled to the time interval

Thus average speed = (450+450)/2×60

= 900/120

= 7.5m/s
